Hidden
A hidden rod allows you to rotate the louvres by hand with the mechanism built into the wood that runs vertically either side of the louvres. This gives your shutters a streamline, modern look which are easy to clean.
Clearview
A clearview rod also allows you to rotate the louvres by hand. This mechanism connects the louvres together by a thin metal rod at the back of the louvres. The rod can be seen from certain angles but it is a cheaper option than the hidden rod.
Central
A central rod is used to operate the louvres. It is a narrow wooden bar that goes down the middle of each shutter panel, giving it a traditional shutter look. This will cost no more than the clearview.
Offset
An offset rod works in the same way as a central however, it is a narrow wooden bar that goes down the front side of the shutter panel. Another classic look and the same price as clearview and central.
